Senate Committee summons Arif Hasan

ISLAMABAD, Jan 4: President of Pakistan Olympic Association and Chairman Pakistan Sports Trust (PST) Lt Gen (Retd) Syed Arif Hasan will appear before the Senate Standing Committee on Sports on Jan 12 (Friday). “Gen Arif will brief us about the worst ever performance of national athletes in the recently held 15th Asian Games and would submit the details of Hero Card Scheme launched to collect funds for the development of sports in the country, a member of Senate Committtee told newsmen on Thursday.

“POA and PST Head must tell us about the reasons behind poor performance of national players in all sports disciplines.”—PPI
