It may be mentioned here that notices were issued to recover outstanding dues to taluka municipal council, as well and other government departments amid a Hesco drive.

In this regard the taluka council authorities were handed over a bill of Rs17 million bill with a warning to clear it within a week’s time or face disconnection.

When contacted, the taluka Nazim Sukkur, Naeem Siddiqui, said that the government of Sindh was regularly repaying Hesco dues on monthly basis “through deductions at source from our funds”.
