ISLAMABAD, Jan 4: President of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has ruled out any deal with the Pakistan Peoples Party. Talking to newsmen at an Eid Milan party organised at the PML Secretariat here on Thursday, Chaudhry Shujaat said Dr Sher Afgan's statement about a deal with the PPP was his personal views.

Earlier, speaking as chief guest at the party, he said the PML was not interested in a political alliance with the PPP or any other party.

Referring to a recent survey conducted by the International Republican Institute, he said the PML was the most popular political force in the country.

He said the PML and its allied parties would contest the forthcoming elections jointly and win on the basis of their performance over the last five years.
