PESHAWAR, Dec 30: NWFP Acting Governor Justice Tariq Parvez Khan has stressed better healthcare facilities for prisoners.

A meeting held at the Governor’s House on Saturday, with Justice Khan in the chair, reviewed the state of affairs in the NWFP prisons.

The meeting was also attended by Governor’s Secretary Azmat Hanif, Health Secretary Abdul Samad Khan, Home Secretary Badshah Gul Wazir, Prisons IG, Health director-general and chief executives of the Lady Reading Hospital, Khyber Teaching Hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex.

The acting governor stressed the need for improving healthcare facilities for inmates of prisons.
