PESHAWAR, Dec 29: Mr Fazl Rabi, chairman of Parmakhtag, a UK-based Pakhtoon association, has said that their NGO want to promote education and health sectors in the NWFP.

Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, he said that the talent of Pakistani youth was being exploited by western countries due to lack of awareness and government negligence.

Parmakhtag, named after a Pashto word meaning “to move forward”, solves problems confronted by Pakistani expatriates, particularly the Pukhtoon community in the country.

Fazl Rabi said that the education system and curriculum in Pakistan was obsolete and ineffective.

He said that Parmakhtag was providing modern training to teachers in different parts of the NWFP and providing computers to government-run schools and seminaries.

He said that the NGO had provided more than 300 computers to schools and religious seminaries in the far-flung areas of the NWFP.

He said that Parmakhtag had constructed hospitals in different districts of the province where free medical treatment was given to the poor.

Replying to a question, Fazl Rabi said that it was their ethical responsibility to give return to Pakistan as the country had imparted them education and was their identity.
