HYDERABAD, Dec 28: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil on Thursday ordered two headmistresses and a teacher suspended and 25 teachers and supervisors transferred on charges of negligence.

The nazim said that the action was taken on a report of district education monitoring committee.

He directed the EDO of education to transfer 11 lady teachers from the Government Girls Primary School, Barrage Colony, headmistress, 10 teachers and a clerk of Government Girls Noor Mohammad High School Hyderabad No.1 and two teachers of Government Girls Firdous Primary and Elementary School.

The nazim ordered that the headmistresses of Government Girls Firdous Primary and Elementary School and Government Girls Yasin Primary School Liberty Market and a teacher of Mohammad Girls Primary School Station Road should be placed under suspension.

He warned that he would not tolerate negligence by teachers and directed that all the encroachments should be removed from schools with the help of police.

SUGARCANE: The cane commissioner of Sindh has advised growers to harvest sugarcane as soon as possible.

He said that because some varieties of sugarcane especially Thatta-10, which was in flowering phase when heavy rains hit the province in July, was fast losing its weight, says a press release issued on Thursday.
