KHAIRPUR, Dec 27: Former Sindh governor and Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader Mamnoon Hussain has said that unemployment, poor law and order situation and price hike have reached a peak under the government of President Pervez Musharraf.

Speaking at a gathering in Therhi on Wednesday, the PML-N leader said that cases of suicides by youngsters, particularly in Sindh, were on the rise because of the situation.

He said incidents of killing of woman and torture on them had reached a record under the present under the present regime. In such a situation, the women’s protection law was nothing more than a slogan, he said. He said cases of torture on children and recovery of bodies of kidnapped children were also being reported frequently, while the government was engaged in lodging false cases against political leaders.
