KARACHI, Dec 27: President of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Sindh, Maulana Asadullah Bhutto called on Bishop Sadiq Daniel of Sindh and Balochistan here on Wednesday and extending him greetings on the occasion of Christmas. He also presented a cake on behalf of the MMA and Muslim community for Christian community.

The MMA leader told him that Pakistan could be developed jointly by the majority Muslim and minority non-Muslim communities only by adhering and following the principles of fraternity, and secularism. He said secularism had no place in Islam.

Bishop Daniel said that Christians in Pakistan were living in Eastern culture which was in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Christ. He said Western culture and Christianity were two different things.

Maulana Bhutto and Bishop Daniel emphasised the need for Muslims-Christians fraternity, and pledged to promote religious values, civilised culture and communal harmony.

Yunus Barai, Muslim Pervez, Saleem Maichel and Yunus A. Khan were present at the meeting.
