KARACHI, Dec 27: Town Nazim of Gadap Ghulam Murtaza Baloch on Wednesday announced a project of producing manure from offal of sacrificial animals during Eidul Azha days.

Speaking at a meeting of the town council, he said 70 per cent of the town population was related to agriculture, and producing manure from offal would be beneficial for them.

The project would not only save fuel but also provide the town with cheap fertilisers, he added.Mr Baloch also cancelled the leaves of all concerned employees during Eid days and said UC naib nazims and DTOs would supervise arrangements regarding the disposing of offal in their respective areas.

EID EMERGENCY: Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town Nazim Muhammad Wasay Jalil on Thursday visited different sites for disposal of offal of sacrificial animals and declared emergency in his town until Eidul Azha.

He also inspected a site in Scheme 33, where offal would be buried to make manure. He also checked sanitation and lighing arrangements in many areas of the town.—PPI
