Double success for City School

KARACHI, Dec 26: The City School PAF Chapter annexed the boys and girls trophies in the Inter-school Sports League basketball tournament which concluded at the PSB Coaching Centre on Tuesday.

The City School PAF Chapter squeezed past Karachi Grammar School 32-30 in a closely fought match to lift the boys’ crown. The winners led 17-16 at half time.

Mansoorul Haq (11) and Hammad Zafar (10) were the main scorers for the winners. Sami Noor top scored for losers with 12 points. He was ably assisted by Shehryar Malik 10.

Earlier, the City School PAF Chapter notched up 30-19 victory over Bay View High School while Grammar School got the better of South Shore School 37-19 in the two pre-finals on Sunday.

The City School handed 18-8 win over South Shore School to claim the girls’ title. Farah and Zufa Ansari shared 16 points amongst themselves for winners. Sofia Hanan contributed 6 for losers.
