Seven kidnapped in Balochistan

SUKKUR, Dec 22: Seven people were kidnapped by armed men in two separate incidents in Balochistan’s Jafferabad district and Nautal area on Friday. According to the first incident, four people were kidnapped in the Hamidpur police area in Jafferabad district when they were going to Uch power plant to meet their friend.

They were identified as Khurram Hayat, Riaz Ahmed, Papoo Khan and Abdul Rasheed, residents of Sukkur.

Sources said armed men kidnapped them when they reached near Abdul Qadir Shah village.

In another incident, three traders, Ratan Kumar, Naresh Kumar and Suneel Kumar, were kidnapped in Nautal area of the Bhag police area when they were going to Sindh from Balochistan’s Bhag area in a car.

The entire border belt of Sindh and Balochistan was in panic after the seven kidnappings in a day.

Police have sealed the entire border belt between the two provinces.—Correspondent
