Man shot dead by robbers

KASUR, Dec 22: Robbers shot dead a man on resistance during a robbery bid on Thursday night in Haveli Safaid Khan in Thai Sheikhum Police Station’s precincts. The robbers intercepted Arif when he was going home and deprived him of his cell phone and Rs500 at gunpoint.

When Arif resisted, they opened fire at him, leaving him dead instantly. Police later claimed to have arrested one accused robber on Friday. Police officials with the help of sniffer dogs arrested one of the robbers from a nearby village. Police were raiding to arrest other co-accused.

DEATH: The Kasur additional district and sessions court judge sentenced to death to Javed and 25 years imprisonment to Naeem and Saleem each who had sodomised and killed 9-year-old Waqar.
