SUKKUR, Dec 22: The chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) of Sukkur has sanctioned Rs187,200 scholarships for the children of secondary, higher secondary and college teachers working in the government and private educational institutions affiliated to the board, says an official press release issued on Friday.

According to the category-wise break-up of the scholarships award, 22 scholarships will go to the children of SSTs for Class-X at the rate of Rs1,800 per candidate, 22 scholarships to the children of SSTs for Class-XI at the rate of Rs2,400 per candidate for two years.

Ten scholarships will be awarded to the children of higher secondary school (HSTs) and college teachers for Class-X at the rate of Rs1,800 per candidate and Rs2,400 per candidate to the eight children of HSTs and college teachers for Class-XI, respectively.

In the second and final instalment 19 scholarships will be given the children of SSTs for Class-XII at the rate of Rs2,400 per candidate and five scholarships will be awarded at the rate of Rs2,400 per candidate to the children of HSTs and college teachers for Class-XII, respectively.
