LONDON, Dec 20: APHC leader Mirwaiz Omar Farooq has called upon the government and the opposition parties in Pakistan not to reduce the Kashmir issue into a domestic political football.

He was commenting on the reported criticism of President Musharraf’s four-point Kashmir proposal by the rightwing and religious political parties.

Mirwaiz who was addressing a group of Kashmiri Diaspora and the media at a reception hosted by Member of Parliament Shahid Malik in a committee room at the House of Common also firmly reiterated that the Hurriyat would never accept the LoC as an international border.

The Kashmiri leader, who had just returned from Ireland where he said he had gone to study the peace process that had led to the settlement of the Irish problem, rejected Emma Nicholson’s European Commission report on Kashmir and said she had an anti-Pakistan agenda.
