KARACHI, Dec 13: Home Adviser Wasim Akhtar has said public satisfaction and confidence in police is a true reward for him. He was addressing a meeting in connection with law and order in Sindh and elimination of street crime at the Driving Licence Branch, Clifton, on Wednesday.

“The establishment of lasting and complete law and order, trust in police and elimination of street crimes are my foremost priorities,” Mr Akhtar said.

He said there was an imperative need to remove fear from the hearts of people against police uniform and police stations by bringing a change in the system.

The adviser called upon police officers to play their due role in improving the image of their department and police stations.

He said police should be courteous to people and complainants visiting police stations and help alleviate the element of fear from their hearts.—APP
