SUKKUR: Bandits attack rice mill

SUKKUR, Dec 10: A group of bandits raided a rice mill in Abad Lakha, near Sukkur on Sunday night and tried to kidnap its owner, Mukhtar Ahmed.

The bandits opened fire and injured him when he resisted the assailants.

The armed bandits fled after looting cash and other valuables from the mill.

Later, hundreds of people gathered in the area and blocked the road in protest demanding arrest of the bandits .

Police officials reached in the area, and assured the people of early arrest of the bandits after which the protesters dispersed.
