Toy bomb kills boy, injures 4

QUETTA, Dec 9: An eight-year-old boy was killed and four others, including a woman and her daughter, were injured seriously in a toy bomb explosion in Panjgur, some 650km south of here, on Saturday.

According to police sources, Sikandar was playing in the ground near his house and found a toy-like object that he brought home.

The toy exploded when the boy tried to play with it, killing him instantly.

In a separate incident, two people were injured in a landmine explosion in Dera Allahyar area of Jaffarabad district.

Police said that the landmine was planted near a dirt track.

The injured were admitted to the Dera Allahyar civil hospital.
