LAHORE, Dec 7: The ruling PML on Thursday passed a resolution to condemn some statements of Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Husain. A meeting of the Punjab PML passed a resolution, presented by Punjab Communication and Works Minister Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, which termed a conspiracy against federation a statement of the MQM leader about not permitting PIA planes to land at Karachi airport.
“It is a conspiracy aimed at fanning hatred between provinces,” he said.
The resolution also criticised Mr Altaf for using derogatory language against poet philosopher Allama Iqbal, besides taking notice of his opposition to the water vision of President Musharraf, especially construction of Kalabagh dam. —Staff Reporter
