Imran’s ton goes fruitless

KARACHI, Dec 2: Imran Ali smashed an unbeaten century for Attock Refinery Ltd (ARL) as their four-day match against Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) ended in a draw at the UBL Sports Complex on Saturday.

Left-handed Imran hit 16 boundaries and three sixes in his innings of 150. He batted for 340 minutes as ARL scored 379 for loss of eight wickets in their second innings when the game was called off with no chance of a result.

For ZTBL, slow left-arm spinner Naeem Anjum took four wickets for 119 runs in 29 overs and pacer Kashif Dawood grabbed three for 96 runs in 24 overs.

ZTBL won three points from the first innings lead.
