DERA GHAZI KHAN, Dec 2: Some women residing in the local working women hostel and Darul Aman have lodged an application with the DCO against the social welfare assistant director, accusing him of being `rude’ and `indecent’ to women.
The application alleged that assistant director Aslam Tariq, who also holds an additional charge of working women hostel and Darul Aman, visited the facilities late at night.
DCO Irum Bukhari said that she would pay surprise visits to the hostel and Darul Aman to take stock of the situation. She further maintained that she would make efforts for the appointment of female officials at the two shelters.
Denying charges leveled against him, Aslam Tariq said that it was part of his duty to take a daily round of the hostel and Darul Aman. He said he was only holding an additional charge and was ready to relinquish it whenever asked. He claimed that internal politics was the main reason behind false allegations against him.
