SSGC qualify for final

ISLAMABAD, Dec 1: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) qualified for the final of the Patrons Trophy (grade-II) by defeating PTV in the three-day semi-final at the Diamond Cricket Ground on Friday courtesy of splendid all-round performance by Rajesh Ramesh.

He captured five wickets with his fast-medium bowling and completed a match haul of 10 wickets. His left-arm new-ball partner Waqar Ahmed grabbed four wickets as SSGC bowled out PTV for 91 in 24.5 overs in their second innings.

With a first innings lead of 71 runs, PTV set SSGC a victory target of 163 which they achieved in 37 overs for loss of eight wickets.

Rajesh Ramesh contributed with 30 not out. Ashraf Ali top scored with 43.

For PTV, Yasin Bari took three wickets for 54 while Shahid Iqbal and Omer Hassan grabbed two wickets each.
