Gas pipeline blown up in Sui

QUETTA, Nov 30: A main pipeline supplying gas to the Sui purification plant from the field was blown up late on Thursday night. According to reports reaching here, suspected militants blew up the pipeline from at least five points.“Gas supply to the main gas plant was suspended from the pipeline,” a security official in Sui told Dawn. He added that gas supply to other areas in the country had not been affected.

Attacks on gas pipeline have been a regular feature in the Sui area of restive Balochistan, where tribal militants, demanding the province’s control over its natural resources. have waged a war against the government policies.
