PESHAWAR, Nov 29: Nine cases of dengue fever have been confirmed in the Frontier province. Eight of the patients have recovered while one has died, says an official press release issued here on Wednesday.

Dr Khalid Iqbal, focal person for dengue fever at the health directorate, said that 30 suspected dengue victims had been admitted to various hospitals in the province so far.

“Out of these 30 cases, only nine have been confirmed clinically while the rest of 21 cases were declared as non-dengue fever,” he said.

He said that a seven-year-old boy, under treatment at the Khyber Teaching Hospital for dengue fever, had died.—APP
