QUETTA, Nov 27: A powerful landmine exploded in Dera Bugti late on Monday, seriously injuring three people, belonging to the Bugti tribe.

The landmine, according to official sources, was planted near the main gate of the house of Wadera Saeed Khan Masoori Bugti. It went off when a vehicle of his elder brother hit it.

The injured included Wadera Bashir Khan Bugti, Wadera Saeed Khan Bugti’s five-year-old son Alam Khan and his nephew.The injured were shifted to the civil hospital by police and other authorities concerned. They were later moved to the Sui hospital.

“It was an anti-tank mine planted close to the main gate of the house,” said police.

No one has claimed responsibility for the incident.

Meanwhile, a powerful explosion occurred near the house of a government employee in Mastung township late on Monday. The explosion was caused by a home-made time device planted near the gate of the house.
