LAHORE, Nov 26: International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Dr Jacques Rogge left for Kuwait on Sunday after completing a four-day visit to the country.

Rogge will preside over a meeting of the Assembly of National Olympic Committees (ANAC) executive body in Kuwait scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

The ANAC will discuss the arrangements being made by China as host of the Olympics Games for 2008. Later, Olympic Committee of Asia (OCA) will also hold its executive body meeting in Kuwait on Nov 29. From Kuwait the ICC president with other participants of the meetings will fly to Doha, Qatar on Dec 1 to watch the 15th Asian Games which ends on Dec 15.

From Pakistan, former secretary Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Mohammad Latif Butt will also attend the OCA meeting as its vice president for which he has left for Kuwait.

During his four-day visit, Rogge met Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and also visited POA offices in Lahore.
