SUKKUR, Nov 25: Two students were killed and 10 others injured in an accident at the Qadirpur-Ghotki bypass in Ghotki district on Saturday.

Reports reaching here said a trawler, on way to Karachi from Lahore, hit a pickup carrying schoolchildren at the Qadirpur-Ghotki bypass. Rakesh alias Sunno, a student of class VIII were killed.

More than 10 other students were injured and shifted to Sukkur, Larkana and Rahim Yar Khan hospitals in critical condition.

Those injured include, Sunny, Avenash, Sagar, Pirthivi, Simran, pick-up cleaner Ehsan, Junaid and others. Drivers of both the vehicles managed to escape from the scene and the area police have impounded both vehicles.

KILLED: A man was killed and two other people injured when a passenger train hit their motorcycle at the Thaheem railway crossing near Pano Akil on Saturday.

Reports reaching here said that Mehdi Hassan Malik along with his two cousins Nadeem and Waseem on a motorcycle on their way to Pano Akil when they reached at the Thaheem railway crossing, a passenger train hit his motorcycle, as a result Mehdi Hassan Malik was killed on the spot, while his cousins Nadeem and Waseem were injured.
