ISLAMABAD, Nov 21: Pakistan’s Aamir Atlas Khan pulled off an upset victory over Malaysian Azlan Iskandar to enter quarter-finals of the US$85,000 Pakistan Open World squash championship on Tuesday.

Teenager Aamir performed excellently to knock out world no.14 Azlan Iskandar of Malaysia 11-5, 11-4, 7-11, 11-6 in 37 minutes.

Another Pakistani who qualified for the quarter-finals was Shahid Zaman. He defeated compatriot Yasir Butt 9-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-4, 11-9 in 37 minutes.

Two other Pakistanis, Safeerullah Khan and Farhan Mehboob lost their matches.

Willstrop beat Safeerullah 11-9, 11-10 (2-0), 11-6 in 29 minutes while World no.12 Stewart Boswell of Australia dumped Farhan in straight games 11-7, 11-7, 11-3 lasting 34 minutes.
