HBL on top of group after routing NBP

KARACHI, Nov 20: Habib Bank Limited (HBL) jumped on top of the pool ‘A’ of the Patrons Trophy grade-I by winning four-day match against National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) at the UBL Sports Complex on Monday.

NBP resuming at their overnight score of 146 for five, and needing 258 to win, bowled out for 168 in their second innings.

Naumanullah scored 73 with the help of ten boundaries.

Qaiser Abbas resisted with defiant 40 in three hours of batting.

For the winners, Irfan Fazil took three wickets for 34 runs. He was well supported by Kamran Hussain who grabbed two for 49.
