LAHORE, Nov 19: Seven-goal Taimur Mawaz Khan stole the show as Kashmir Carpets annexed the TCL Polo Cup crushing Al Khan in the final 11-5 on Sunday.

Taimur was in tremendous form and gave the winners a flying start 3-1. He scored all three, converting two 30-yard penalty hits and one spot penalty near the goalpost.

Raja Sattar, who scored three for the losers, stuck first through field effort.

Kashmir Carpets entered the final chukker with a big lead and managed to hold it as both teams scored two each for the final score. Taimur blasted home his seventh goal while Faisal also chipped in with his third. Sattar powered his way to score both for the losers but only to lose the game by a big margin.

Five goals by Ahmed Ali Tiwana enabled Millat Tractors to seize third spot, thrashing Mixed Bag 8-4 in another one-sided match.

Qadeer Ashfaq (2) and Samee Ibrahim (1) were the other scorers for the winners.

Mixed Bag reduced the margin through Syed Mohammad Raza (2), Qadeer Ashfaq (1) and Irfan Ali Hyder (1).
