Bidding for Hazara Fertiliser on Dec 4

ISLAMABAD, Nov 18: Bidding for the sale of 90 per cent shares of Hazara Phosphate Fertiliser Ltd (HPFL) will be held here on December 4, 2006.

The Privatisation Commission in a press release issued on Saturday stated that the HPFL, located at Haripur 75-km off from Islamabad, was owned by National Fertilisers Corporation (NFC).

The factory is situated on 57 acres on developed land and includes factory, housing other amenities.

The commission said following parties had been pre-qualified for taking part in the bidding: Al-Hamza Ship Breaking Company and Group, Karachi; Allah Din Group of Companies Lahore; Al-Tuwairqi Group of Companies, Karachi; Amjad Textile Mills, Lahore; Chanar Sugar Mills, Lahore; Nishat (Chunian), Lahore; TN Associates, Islamabad; and Zaven Mining Company (Pvt), Islamabad. The parties had already completed their due-diligence.

HPFL produces 90,000 tons of Granular Single Super Phosphate and 30,000 tons of Sulphuric Acid per annum required for the production of GSSP.
