First rain of winter

LAHORE, Nov 17: Light rain in the provincial metropolis on Friday evening brought about nip in the air as the meteorological office forecast more rain during the next 24 hour.

Reports of rain have also been received from other parts of the province. According to the Met office, a westerly wave over Kashmir is likely to cause rain and thunderstorm in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad divisions. Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur will also receive showers.

On Friday, Faisalabad received 3mm rain, Shorkot 2mm, Chitral, Murree, Islamabad and Mandi Bahauddin 1mm each, Dir 7mm, Rawalkot 8mm, Jhelum and Jhang 5mm each and Quetta 20mm.—-APP
