NOWSHERA, Nov 17: Three people were killed and 15 others injured when a truck carrying a marriage party collided head on with a coach on the Peshawar-Islamabad highway near Taro Jaba, west of Nowshera, on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Nazir Gul, Perveen and Mubashir Khan. The wounded, many of them serious, were taken to Peshawar.

According to witnesses, the driver of the Mardan-bound truck lost control of the speeding vehicle and rammed into the coach coming from the opposite direction.

Police registered a case against the truck driver, who escaped after the accident.
