Aga Khan wins on penalty kicks

KARACHI, Nov 16: Aga Khan University earned full points when they beat Hamdard University 4-3 on penalty kicks after being tied 3-3 in regulation time in the opening match of Inter University Zone F Football tournament at Karachi University ground on Thursday.

Eraj (13th), Waleed (61st), Abdullah (67th) slammed a goal each for winners in scheduled time while Rizwan scored twice (27th, 83rd) in addition to a self goal (73rd) for the losers.

Aga Khan scored four goals on penalty kicks as against three by their opponent’s. Abdul Qayoom, Israr, Farhan and Kashif were the scorers for Aga Khan while Junaid Hashim, Sameer Rehman and Imam scored for Hamdard.

Five teams – Aga Khan, Iqra, Hamdard, Sir Syed and host Karachi University are competing in the event. The winner will travel to Peshawar where the final round takes place from Nov 25.
