Murderer gets death, father life term

GUJRANWALA, Nov 16: A local court handed down death sentence to one Irfan and life term to his father Aslam along with fine totalling Rs100,000 in a murder case here on Thursday.

The court also ordered to pay compensation to heirs of the deceased in case of recovery of fine from the accused.

According to the prosecution, Irfan and Aslam had killed one Nazir Ahmad over a minor issue at Cantonment in July last year.

DENGUE CASE: Another dengue fever case has been reported in the city.

Report said a student, Abu Bakr, of People’s colony had been admitted to DHQ hospital here on Thursday where doctors had completed his medical tests and he was shifted to a ward.

Two dengue cases had already been reported a few days ago.
