LAHORE, Nov 15: Both Pakistan and the West Indies utilised Wednesday for some net practice after the early finish of the Test on Tuesday had thrown up the spare day for them.

While the Pakistan players spent the afternoon at the adjacent National Cricket Academy (NCA), the West Indies, went through a two-hour training session in the morning at the Gaddafi Stadium. A tight security contingent accompanied the touring team with elite police force and other agencies on full alert at the practice session.

However, in the morning no one was allowed to enter the NCA where the anti-doping appellate tribunal — comprising Justice Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim (chairman), Hasib Ahsan and Dr Danish Zaheer — commenced preliminary hearing of the appeals filed by banned Pakistan fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif.
