PESHAWAR Nov 14: Corps Commander Lt-Gen Mohammad Hamid Khan has said that vigorous and relentless training is the hallmark of soldier's preparedness to face the modern day warfare and asked troops to pursue this objective by enhancing their professional skills.

He was talking to troops during a visit on Tuesday to units carrying out battle inoculation exercise at the Field Firing Ranges in Nowshera.

According to an ISPR press release, General Officer Commanding Major General Gul Muhammad and other senior military officers were present on the occasion.

The corps commander, who was given detailed briefing on the conduct and objectives of the exercise, said concepts and techniques of war had undergone tremendous changes and there was a dire need for purposeful and continuous training in peace time to be able to effectively tackle the challenges of modern warfare. “It is the physical fitness, training, efficiency in handling weapons, mental alertness and endurance of troops that decide fortunes in the battlefield,” he said.—APP
