LAHORE, Nov 12: Imdad Hussain with a three-day aggregate of 210 turned the tables over two-day leader Nisar Khan, to emerge as winner of the Punjab Open golf championship in Gujranwala on Sunday.

The event culminated into a thriller at the end of the final 18 holes because of three-way tie among Muhammad Saddique (Faisalabad), Imdad Hussain (Garrison) and Matloob Ahmed (Gymkhana). The result was taken out on play-off.

As three were tied at 210 at the end of final 18 holes, the play off started from the 10th hole. All three had perfect hits off the tee but destiny smiled on Imdad. His putt from 15 feet carried a stroke of authority and the ball curled into the hole to give him a birdie and a victory.
