Firing in Pir Koh gasfield

QUETTA, Nov 11: Security forces and militants exchanged heavy fire in the Pir Koh gasfield area on Saturday.

According to officials, a group of militants opened fire on a camp of the Frontier Corps in Kandoor area in Dera Bugti district. FC troops returned fire, causing the attackers to escape. No casualty was reported.

Meanwhile, an armoured personnel carrier (APC) of the Frontier Corps was damaged after a landmine explosion in the Pir Koh area. Security officials recovered two more landmines planted in the same area. Both the mines were defused.
