ZTBL take commanding position

KARACHI, Nov 11: Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) posted 267 runs for five wickets on the opening day of their Patrons Trophy grade-I match against National Bank of Pakistan at the NBP Sports Complex on Saturday.

Adnan Akmal, Afaq Raheem and Umar Javed struck half centuries to consolidate their eam's batting after winning the toss.Afaq Raheem and Atif Ashraf gave ZTBL a flying start of 106. Atif Ashraf fell after scoring 49 runs.

Adnan, younger brother of Pakistan wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal, top scored for ZTBL with 66.

Pakistan's discarded paceman Mohammad Sami grabbed three wickets for 57 runs in 16 overs.
