ISLAMABAD, Nov 11: A married woman was found dead in her house on Saturday while her husband was mysteriously absent from the scene, police said.

Razia Bibi, 55, was living with her son-in-law in G-8/1 Katchi Abadi, in the jurisdiction of Margallah police station. The incident came to light when her son-in-law, Latif Massih returned home and found his mother-in-law in pool of blood.

The body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for legal process. According to Medico Legal Certificate, the deceased suffered head injuries with some heavy piece of metal which was the main cause of her death, however, killer(s) also slit her neck with sharp iron metal.

Razia Bibi, a mother of two children, a native of Sialkot, and her husband Jan Massih lived with their son-in-law Latif, a sweeper in Capital Development Authority. The son of the deceased embraced Islam and now lives separately in Gujranwala.

Latif along with her wife went to Bahawalpur some days ago for attending a marriage ceremony, leaving behind Razia Bibi and Jan in his house. When he returned home on Friday he found his mother-in-law lying in a pool of blood in her room.

The police was looking for her husband and his whereabouts was not known till filing of this report. Police quoting the victim’s family, said they had no enmity with anyone.

Police have registered a murder case. However, the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
