KARACHI: Notices issued in lease case

KARACHI, Nov 10: The Sindh High Court on Friday issued notices to respondents in a petition seeking regularization of alleged lease of land to a private development company.

Marina City Developments seeks directives to restrain the respondents from creating any hurdle in the peaceful possession of a piece of land measuring about 341.23 acres at the delta of the river Malir adjoining Deh Dih here.

The chief secretary, land utilization secretary, land utilization member and secretary of the the board of revenue were cited as respondents.

A division bench, comprising Justices Mushir Alam and Syed Zawwar Hussain Jaffery, directed that preadmission notices be issued to the respondents for a date to be fixed by office.
