LAHORE, Nov 8: Pakistan tennis team on Wednesday took an unbeatable 2-0 lead against India in the second leg to square their series 1-1 at the Defense Club grass courts here in front of a moderate crowd.

Pakistan had lost the first leg at Islamabad while the third leg will be played in Chandigarh (India) on Nov 11 and the fourth at New Delhi on Nov 14.

In the first singles contest on Wednesday, Aqeel came out winner against Rohan Bopanna in a three-set match. Aqeel won 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

Pakistan’s ace tennis star, Aisamul Haq doubled the lead by scoring an easy victory over Karan Rastogi in the second singles 6-1,6-4. Aisam was in great form and did not allow Karan to pose any threat throughout the proceeding. Both the teams will play the doubles on Thursday.
