HYDERABAD, Nov 7: In order to eradicate the menace of corruption from society and government organisations, the district government has decided to organise a seminar on corruption in collaboration with the National Accountability Bureau on Nov 13.

At a meeting held here on Monday, it was decided that Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad would be requested to preside over the seminar.

Sindh Minister for Irrigation Nadir Akmal Leghari, Health Minister Syed Sardar Ahmed and other cabinet members would also be invited to attend the seminar. District Naib Nazim Zaffar Rajput, DCO Mohammad Hussain Syed, EDOs of the district government attended the meeting and finalised arrangements in this regard. District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil presided over the meeting.

He directed officials to invite sitting and retired government officers, NGOs, intellectuals, youth organisations and experts of social reforms in addition to public representatives at the grassroots level to participate and share their views and offer recommendations for eradication of corruption.

He said that the district government was giving a top priority to good governance and providing facilities to people at the grassroots level.—Bureau
