KARACHI, Nov 7: The Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDCPL) is to host the 10th General Meeting of the Asia Pacific Central Securities Depositories Group (ACG) from November 8 to 10, a press release issued by the company stated.

It said that the three-day event to be held in Karachi includes a conference as well as other social activities of the ACG for which around 60 delegates from various Asia Pacific countries would visit the country.

The main session of the conference would be addressed by the Chairman of the National Commission on Government Reforms, Dr Ishrat Husain; chairman Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Razi-ur-Rahman Khan; chairman of CDC Mohammad Basheer Janmohammed and the CEO of CDC, Hanif Jakhura.

The press release stated that the inaugural session also includes a panel discussion on “Corporate Governance for Central Securities Depositories” which would be participated by officials of the Asian Development Bank, EuroClear SA/NV France, Vice-President of the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and Chairman of the Korean Securities Depository.
