12,000 Sikhs arrive at Nankana

SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 4: At least 12,000 Sikh yatrees hailing from India, England, the

UAE, the US and other countries have reached Nankana Sahib to participate in 538th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak. More yatrees would arrive here by Sunday (today).

They would perform their religious rites in Gurdawara Janam Asthan besides reciting their holy book Granth.

The three-day festivities that started on Friday would continue till Sunday night. The Palkey procession, the main event, will be taken out from Gurdawara.

The administration has made tight security arrangements while law enforcers have been deployed on major routes and roads.
