Published October 29, 2006

MIRPUR, Oct 28: Kashmiris living either side of the Line of Control and worldwide will observe the 59th Jammu martyrs day on Nov 6 to commemorate sacrifices by hundreds of thousands of Muslims of Jammu in 1947 while migrating to Pakistan.

The day will be observed to remember the sacrifices of Muslims killed by armed Hindu gangsters, including Dogra military troops, and to renew the pledge to continue the struggle for freedom of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Special ceremonies, seminars and symposiums will be held on the occasion in all towns of eight districts of the AJK.—APP
