Rizwan, Sajid steer MHCC into final

KARACHI, Oct 19: A superb century from Mohammad Rizwan and a good all-round display by Sajid Ali steered Mohammad Hussain CC into the final of the 10th Danish Trophy Ramazan cricket tournament at the KPI Ground on Thursday.

Mohammad Hussain CC ran out easy winners against hosts Karachi Parsi Institute (KPI) by 49 runs in the second semi-final.

Opener Rizwan smashed 101 with the aid of six fours and five sixes and Sajid made an unbeaten 42 as MHCC scored 193 for five in their 20 overs.

KPI, despite an undefeated 86 by opener Tariq Haroon, were restricted to 144 for six in reply.

Sajid excelled with the ball to claim three for 22 with his off-spinners.

MHCC’s opponents in the final on Saturday are Tapal CC, the winners of the first semi-final against Cantt Sports.
