Khalid pilots PWD into last four

KARACHI, Oct 18: Former national under-19 skipper Khalid Latif smashed an unbeaten 81 to propel Pak PWD into the semi-finals of the 21st Karachi Gymkhana-AKD Ramazan cricket tournament at the KG Ground on Wednesday.

Khalid belted five fours and three sixes in his 58-ball knock that eventually guided Pak PWD to a five-wicket victory over M. Tex Sports in the third quarter-final.

Earlier, M. Tex Sports were bowled out for 138 with opener Ashfaq Ahmed striking six fours and three sixes in a 27-ball 50.

Spinners Amjad Waqas, Mohammad Masroor and Aftab Ahmed shared seven wickets between them.

In Thursday’s remaining quarter-final Customs CC take on Pak Gymkhana.
