Thori Phatak day observed

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 18: The Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) organised a public meeting on Tuesday to mark the Thori Phatak Day. The meeting was presided over by the JSQM chief Bashir Khan Qureshi who condemned the mysterious disappearance of nationalist leaders after their arrest and said that people were not afraid of such dirty tactics.

He said that such acts had always yielded negative results.

He criticised the Kalabagh dam and Thal canal schemes and said that people of Sindh had proved that they could sacrifice their lives for Sindh.

He appealed to the people to wear black armbands on Eid day as a mark of protest.

JSM(J): The activists of Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Junejo) staged a rally in Mudur and held a public meeting to pay tribute to the martyrs of Thori Phatak.

The district council approved 450 development schemes at its meeting chaired by District Naib Nazim Ali Khan Almani on Wednesday.

The members unanimously approved the development schemes which would cost an amount of Rs374.055 million.
