MIRPUR (AJK), Oct 13: Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan on Friday urged the Muslim countries to play active role for early resolution of the Kashmir issue.

He expressed these views after laying foundation stone of shrine complex of spiritual leader Baba Peera Shah Ghazi, famously known as Damrian Wali Sarkar, at Khari Sharif here on Friday. The project will be completed at a cost of Rs130 million.

AJK Minister for Auqaf Hafiz Hamid Raza and Secretary Auqaf Nazir Gillani also spoke on the occasion.

Sardar Attique urged the Muslim world to perform its vital role to make the Pakistan-India peace process a complete success. He also urged India to accept the ground reality about the disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir and give a matching response to the recent proposals of President General Pervez Musharraf for early and peaceful settlement of the problem.

He said that the issue should be resolved in line with the wishes of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

The AJK PM said that the Muslim Conference government would make Azad Jammu Kashmir a welfare state and its people would have all required and latest facilities.

He said the Khari Sharif complex would be constructed according to modern architectural design and international standard and would be displayed on website after completion. —APP
